If you are planning for a winter wedding then you have many choices ahead of you for where to throw the big party.  You may decide you want to have your wedding at your home, but if you are thinking of something a bit more exotic then there are many cool hot spots for your winter wedding nuptials to choose from.  You will have to consider if you wanted to go someplace snowy, someplace warm,  someplace far away or someplace where you could have your wedding and honeymoon all in one.

If you prefer to go someplace warm for your winter wedding nuptials then you have many great hot spots to choose from.  If you think that you want to go to a warm place, but not too far off the beaten path then you should consider Southern California.  You may be able to find a great vineyard to have your wedding ceremony and reception complete with local wine.  If you wanted something more tropical then you may want to consider something like Costa Rica or Hawaii.  When you are planning an island getaway chances are good that the hotels in the area have a great wedding planner on staff to take care of your every need.  If you wanted to have a true fairy tale wedding then you should consider sunny Disney in Florida.  You can now have wedding weekends at the Magic Kingdom for as few as two people or up to over two hundred.

Some great hot spots for your winter wedding nuptials are actually very cold.  If you are a ski bunny then maybe you should consider having your winter wedding at s ski resort in Aspen or Vermont.  You could have an adventurous winter wedding where the bride and groom say their vows at the top of the mountain accompanied by all the guests and then everyone skis down to the bottom to enjoy warm hot cocoa and a great reception in the lodge.  If you are one who loves to hear the roar of nature you should look into having an all blue affair by the mouth of the Niagara Falls.  Up in Niagara there are many hot air balloon operators so that you and your love could sail off to your honeymoon in a balloon ride among the stars.

If you are having a smaller winter wedding, or if you can convince your family to travel farther away, then maybe you want to consider a far away winter wedding destination.  You could have a great romantic winter wedding getaway by taking your family to the streets of Paris or Venice.  If you all are very Irish but noone has ever been back to Ireland in your family then what better then to get married on the rolling hills of green.   If you planned a late winter wedding then you could also schedule it so that your family was all there for St. Patrick’s Day.  If you and your family are more adventurous then maybe you want to get married on the plains of Africa with lions watching over the ceremony.

If you are planning winter wedding nuptials then all of these great hot spots would also make for a great honeymoon destination.  You could plan more then just single magical day but plan an entire magical week spent in an unusual destination.  You are planning one of the most important steps of your life and so just think big.  Even in the case that your family will not travel far then you can still theme your reception around a great winter hot spot and travel there just you and your new spouse for your honeymoon.
